Shot Timer

Shot timer and par timer for dry fire practice

Random-start beeps, par times, and voice commands — plus what an ordinary par timer can’t do: it hears your trigger press and measures your actual draw and split times.

A traditional par timer beeps at the start and beeps at par — whether you made the shot or not is on you to guess. Dry Fire Pro is a par timer with ears: it detects the click of each trigger press, so every rep produces a measured reaction time instead of a feeling.

Randomized standby keeps you from gaming the beep, directional commands (left / right) force target transitions, and loop mode keeps a drill running rep after rep while the app records everything.

What you get with Shot Timer

Random start

A randomized standby window before the beep keeps your reaction honest, rep after rep.

Par times

Set par windows for each step of a drill and hear exactly when your time is up.

Measured splits

Every detected trigger press is timestamped — see your draw time and split times per rep.

Directional cues

Shoot-left / shoot-right voice commands turn a static timer into transition training.

Drill Tweaker

Adjust standby ranges, delays, sounds, loops, and instructions on any drill without rebuilding it.

Loop mode

Run a drill on repeat for volume practice; the app keeps score across every reps.

Private by design

No accounts, no logins, no trackers. Trigger detection runs entirely on your device — audio is processed locally and never uploaded. Your training history stays on your phone, and everything works offline.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a regular par timer app?

A regular par timer only plays beeps. Dry Fire Pro also detects your trigger press through the microphone, so it measures your actual reaction time and splits on every rep — data a beep-only timer can’t give you.

Can I use it as a simple par timer?

Yes. Set a par time, get a random-start beep and a par beep. Detection simply adds measured times on top whenever it hears your trigger.

Does it support random start times?

Yes. Standby duration can be randomized within a range you choose, so you can’t anticipate the beep.

Can I run drills hands-free?

Yes. Loop mode repeats a drill automatically, and audio cues and voice commands mean you never need to look at the screen mid-drill.
