ML Trigger Detection
Dry fire trigger detection — no hardware, just your phone
Dry Fire Pro uses on-device machine learning to detect the click of your trigger through the microphone — measuring your real draw and split times without lasers, sensors, or any extra gear.
Most par timers only beep — they can’t tell whether you actually pressed the trigger, or when. Dry Fire Pro listens for the mechanical click of your firearm’s trigger and timestamps every press, so you get real reaction times and splits from dry-fire practice.
Detection runs entirely on your iPhone with a low-latency ML model. With My Firearm, you can go further and train a personalized model on the exact sound of your own trigger — recorded in about a minute, processed on device.

What you get with ML Trigger Detection
Beep. Draw. Click. Measured.
Start a drill, react to the cue, and every trigger press is detected and timed automatically.
My Firearm — personalized model
Record a handful of trigger presses and train a detection model tuned to your specific gun.
Universal models
Universal Gen2 works out of the box across common firearms; QuickShots (beta) trades a little accuracy for even faster response.
Adjustable sensitivity
Tune detection sensitivity and sound suppression to your environment, from quiet rooms to noisier spaces.
Holster-draw delay
Configure a draw delay so the timer matches how you actually run your drills.
Private by design
Audio is processed on device and never uploaded. No account, no cloud, no tracking.
Private by design
No accounts, no logins, no trackers. Trigger detection runs entirely on your device — audio is processed locally and never uploaded. Your training history stays on your phone, and everything works offline.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any extra hardware for trigger detection?
No. Dry Fire Pro uses your iPhone’s microphone and an on-device machine-learning model to detect the click of your trigger. There are no lasers, sensors, or accessories to buy.
What is My Firearm?
My Firearm lets you train a personalized detection model on the sound of your own trigger. You record a series of presses in the app, and the model is trained and stored on your device for more reliable detection.
Does detection work with any firearm?
The Universal Gen2 model is trained across a wide range of common handguns and works out of the box. If your trigger is unusually quiet or distinctive, training a My Firearm model typically improves detection further.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. All audio processing happens on your device. Nothing is recorded to the cloud and no account is required.
