My Firearm — personalized detection

The built-in Universal Gen2 model detects a wide range of common handgun triggers out of the box. My Firearm goes further: it trains a model on the exact sound of your trigger, on your device.

When to use it

• Your trigger is unusually quiet, or has a distinctive sound the universal model occasionally misses.
• You train in an environment with background noise.
• You simply want the most reliable detection possible.

How to train your model

1. Go to Settings → Detection & Sensitivity → My Firearm.
2. Follow the guided recording flow: you’ll rack and press your trigger a number of times while the app records.
3. The model trains on your device in under a minute. When it’s done, it shows as Active.

Good recordings make good models

• Record in the same room you usually train in.
• Hold the phone at your normal training distance.
• Press the trigger the way you actually shoot — the model learns what it hears.

You can retrain or switch back to the universal model at any time. Recordings and the model never leave your device.
